Course Description
A short course on still life and product photography designed to teach photographers how to create compelling images of inanimate objects by focusing on composition, lighting, and styling.
What you’ll learn
Artistic Overview & Lighting Techniques
Understand the artistic importance of still life photography, its historical context, and contemporary applications.
Learn to work with various light sources, including continuous lights, strobes, and natural light, and master single and multiple light setups.
Composition & Object Arrangement
Apply principles of composition, such as the rule of thirds, and learn to arrange objects for visual harmony and storytelling.
Explore how different background choices impact the subject and composition.
Hands-on Practice & Post-Processing
Refine your images using effective post-processing techniques for a polished finish.
Gain practical experience by working with different still life setups.

Our studio is located near Shoreditch, and the course will take place in and around this vibrant area. Shoreditch offers a variety of locations, providing diverse settings for practicing location lighting techniques. From urban streets to hidden spots, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to explore and apply different lighting methods in real-world environments.
What if I am not good at English?
Clear, easy to understand lessons:
Our tutors use simple and accessible English to explain everything. If they need to use any special terms, they’ll make sure to explain them clearly.
New methods are taught through live demonstrations, so you can easily follow along and understand.
We also have staff members who speak fluent Mandarin, so language won’t be an issue for you!
