Course Description

Hit the streets and learn how to perfect your lighting, no matter the location. Discover how to balance natural and artificial light and get hands-on with softboxes, reflectors, and off-camera flash techniques.

This short location lighting course typically focuses on teaching photographers how to effectively use lighting in various on-location settings.

What you’ll learn

Basic Light

  • Understanding natural vs. artificial light

  • Basic principles of light (intensity, quality, direction, and color)

  • Using TTL and manual flash modes Bounce flash and fill flash techniques

Off-Camera Flash Techniques:

  • Balancing flash with ambient light

  • How to use softboxes, umbrellas, reflectors, and diffusers

Practical Scenarios and Problem Solving:
