Gaayein Jiaxian Peng: Bow-knot

Bow-knot explores the delicate tension between fragility and resilience, marking a pivotal moment in Peng’s practice since becoming an independent photographer in 2023.

Through soft, loosely assembled yet quietly cohesive everyday objects, the work traces an ongoing process of self-exploration. Bow-like forms emerge as an “in-between” language—where intimacy meets structure, and form carries emotional weight. As a recurring motif, the bow becomes a metaphor for connection, reflecting subtle bonds and shared experiences among women.
